Izidor’s story takes place in an institution, but the questions at its heart reach far beyond institutional care: What happens when a child grows up without consistent, nurturing relationships? What helps a young person learn to trust, connect, and belong? And what difference can one caring person make?

For foster and adoptive families, youth, caseworkers, and other child welfare professionals, IZIDOR offers a powerful way to explore trauma, attachment, resilience, identity, and belonging. By entering someone else’s story, participants can examine difficult experiences from a little distance, then connect those insights to their own lives, relationships, and work.

Guided discussion equips participants by turning that connection into deeper understanding and practical application.

Each discussion guide is designed to be simple, flexible, and impactful. They can be used as-is—no expertise required—or easily tailored to fit your audience.

Setting:

Purpose:

MOVING TO ACTION: A 90-minute event with a facilitator guide that inspires communities to take action on behalf of vulnerable children through a customized Call to Action.

Izidor Support Group - film + resources graphic

Support group

Setting:

  • Youth and adults with foster care experience (12+)
  • Foster parents/Caregivers

Purpose:

DIGGING DEEPER: Multi-session, facilitator-led guides that help people touched by foster care and the families who walk alongside them explore their experiences, build connections, and find support.

Training

Setting:

  • Foster parent training
  • Caseworker continuing education (CEUs)

Purpose:

LEANING IN: A single-session training with facilitator-led discussion that equips caregivers and child welfare professionals to better understand and support vulnerable children in their care.

Child Welfare package includes:

  • Streaming access to the IZIDOR film via browser for use with your organization. You may stream the film as many times as you want during the license period.
  • Discussion and participant guides in pdf format for download.
  • Marketing tools.

Once purchased, the child welfare package provides access for the term of the package.

The license allows the oraganization to host multiple group screenings during the license duration.
